What is Wisdom Speeks
The better question is "Who" is Wisdom Speeks? If you don't know, you had better asks somebody real quick because they're not only the single band from the Nation's Capital that has created a sound out of a sound, out of a sound, but they are also one of DC's best kept secrets. Well, they're not too much of a secret anymore unless you've been hibernating, out of touch with the real world or both. But, don't worry. Wisdom Speeks is our favorite band and you'll get a chance to see why.
In the meantime, I'll tell you this... Wisdom Speeks is unique, they're hot, and they're new. This is what the world needs - something different; a band that can give you something you weren't expecting, mixed with a little bit of the same ole stuff.
Wisdom Speeks keeps the party going, and it won't be any different at our wedding. Shearion will need to change her clothes for this one, because she loves to party with Wisdom Speeks, so once they start playing, put on your dancing shoes if you're want to hang out with the bride before we split.
Lead by the multi-talented Brian "Whop" Craig, Wisdom Speeks is able to offer a dynamic mix of sound and transitions that don't allow you to stop dancing until they stop playing. Mr. Craig, referred to as Wisdom Speeks himself created the sound, produces the music, plays the sax, and wows the crowd with an assortment of vocals, lyrics, and shnazzy kwirks that are sure to have you asking me, where did you find these guys.
Featured in the band is the Sexier than ever, Miss Dana Renee. Dana Renee gives a little singing, a little rapping, and a little bit of what she does to entertain the crowd. There's no telling who else will take the stage with Wisdom Speeks, but whoever it is, it'll be a shot in the arm as they give us what we want.

Wisdom Speeks Band & Show has been illuminating audiences with a unique style of music they like to call Global Soul under the leadership of Whop Craig aka Wisdom Speeks who formed the band in 2009. They have become quite the talk of the town as it pertains to the live band circuit in the DMV, fusing jazz, hip-hop, reggae, and latin elements with the DC street beat. Wisdom Speeks' fan base is both young and old, rich and poor, and all come to appreciate WS brand of musical storytelling and the creative and distinctive arrangements that resonates in the hearts and heads of listeners long after the music stops.
Their goal is to communicate to all who care to hear the message in the music which is to celebrate life, and spread love through unified positivity, which is conveyed in the lyrics in a style that only Whop can deliver. Stick To Your Guns
If there is one thing everybody you talk to will tell you about Whop... He sticks to his guns. He has lead his band for over 10 years to the place where they are now. Wisdom Speeks is known for having their own distinct sound and not for playing cover music.
Most of what they play is all original music created by Whop. Some of their music has come courtesy of Miss Dana Renee and other members of the band, but for the most part, Whop pulls it all together, and the band makes it incredible.
And, the live performance is unmatched in the D.C. Area. They're not a dance group, nor are they a singing quartet, but they certainly know how to keep your attention, but most importantly; they make you dance.
